Ingredients:

 
bullet2 Loaves Frozen White Bread
bullet2 Lbs. Ground Beef
bullet2 Large Onions, minced
bullet1/4 Cup Butter
bullet5 Cups shredded Cabbage
bulletSalt & Pepper to taste

Bake time: 20 Minutes

Directions:

 

bulletThaw bread dough & allow to rise according to package directions.
bullet Brown ground beef in skillet.
bulletIn separate skillet, over low heat, saute minced onion in butter until translucent; stir in shredded cabbage. Cook, stirring often until cabbage is tender, but still green. Cool.
bulletMix together ground beef, cabbage, salt & pepper.
bulletPunch down dough. Roll out & divide into 16 equal portions. Roll each portion into a 7 in x 6 in rectangle.
bulletPlace beef mixture in center of each rectangle; fold envelope style; pinch edges securely closed. Place runzas on 2 buttered 9 x 13 x 2 baking pans; cover & allow to rise in a warm place about 15 min.
bulletBrush tops lightly with water.
bulletBake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Serve warm with ketchup, mustard or your favorite sauce.
