Pot Perry - 11/06/04

The Friendship Plate

A "new" addition, the friendship plate, inscribed on with the signatures of our august membership and guests, sits with Sherry & Dan's Artichoke Seafood Dip and Mustard Dip.

The Table Set

Actually two tables going from the dining room to the sun porch. China for the ladies, and manly pewter for the men.

The Welcome Toast

Assembled in the kitchen, for the traditional toast and welcome. Where's Joe?

French Baked clams

TJ and Bill did a great job on these. (Bill carried them in). You must try this recipe, simple and very good.

We plunge into the first course!

Here are the usual suspects, and our guest and wonderful friend, Ray Turcotte, enjoy the clams.

Beth & Craig's Minestrone Soup

Another simply delicious treat. We were very progressive on this one.

The full table for the soup course.

I don't see Ray Turcotte. Could it be he doesn't like Minestrone? By the way, partially seen third on the right, is Sherry, our official photographer... She doesn't often get into a picture.

Now we know why we can't find Joe!

That's Sarah Bluvas gracing our table as Joe's replacement. We continuously try to upgrade, and we succeeded.

The salad, Sue & Mike's Foo Young Toss!

This mix of crunchy textures and varied tastes, topped by a magnificant dressing would be a great dish to add to anyone's arsenal. Mouth watering!

A break before the main event!

Mike & Charlie with our hostess Ruth. There is always much scurrying in the kitchen as several of us work on the entree and side dishes.

Not Scurrying...

If your not the hostess, and your dish has been served, you can loaf. Here, Beth & Craig are loafing.

Drawing back for a more complete picture...

Sue, who has been napping, and TJ join Beth & Craig. There you have it, the appetizer, soup and salad courses at rest.

And, in the "Copa"...

Mike, Dan & Charlie entertain the lovely Sarah.

The entree and sides are served...

Ruth & Brian's Scallopine with Morels & Cream, Karen's Zesty Carrots and Haricot Verts l'Oignon. C'est Magnifique!!!

Wait, there's more...

Sandy advises Karen and Sue, (now awake), that they must taste Robert Redford?????

Here's Robert....

Concerned about McD's cheeseburger and fires, or get your sandwiches at Subway... You don't want this dessert! I cut back on brussel sprouts so I had room.

Where's my Robert Redford?

Beth looks unhappy, and Craig is still eating....

Apertifs, anyone....

As usual, Ruth has set our an array of after drinks to settle the palate. The sign behind the table says it all. We should have it at all of our dinners.

Bidding our guests good night...

Ruth is actually chiding Brian... You can't wear your Red Sox jacket to bed.... Y'all come back, heah!!!
