Smoked Salmon Mousse

Ingredients:
bullet8 oz of cream cheese, cut into pieces and softened
bullet6 ounces of smoked salmon, cut into 1 inch pieces
bullet3 tablespoons sour cream
bulletLemon juice, to taste
bulletSalt
bullet1/2 cup of heavy cream, (whipped)
bulletSalmon caviar, for garnish
bulletToasted herb croutes or assorted crackers as accompaniment

Prepares 2 cups of mousse

Preparation Time: 10 minutes

Cook time: none

 

 

Directions:

 

bulletIn a food processor, blend the cream cheese, salmon, sour cream, lemon juice and salt until smooth.
bulletTransfer the mixture to a bowl and fold in the whipped cream gently but completely.
bulletGarnish with the caviar and serve with croutes or crackers.
